Our Web Design Philosophy

While your web site reflects your company’s style and personality, if it is to be an asset to your business, it must also be polished in appearance, intuitive to navigate, and most of all, informative and persuasive.

Your web site will often be the first point of contact for potential new customers, and it will establish their all-important “first impression” of your business. To move them from being “potential” to “actual” customers, your web site must draw them in, anticipating and answering their questions, and inviting their patronage, now and again in the future.

At Dickinson Consulting Services, we take pride in catering to the special needs and particular situations of our clients and their lines of business. We understand that one size does not fit all, and we tailor our solutions to fit the needs of each customer.

As part of that process, one of the first steps we take with a new client is to discuss their business with them, in order to understand what they offer their customers, and what their needs are from their web site design.

Over a Decade of Lotus Notes and Domino Experience

Rick Dickinson, the owner and operator of Dickinson Consulting Services, has been designing and implementing Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino based application solutions for companies in the Southern California area since 1994. He has extensive experience integrating Notes with legacy data residing in various relational database systems, including Oracle and SQL Server, and implementing secure solutions to complex workflow problems.

Additionally, he has been working with the Lotus Domino web server since its original incarnation as InterNotes Web Publisher, all through its eventual bundling with, and later integration as part of, what was renamed in Release 4 as the Lotus Domino Server. His extensive experience with Notes/Domino web application integration gives him the needed perspective to properly advise clients on the best approaches for securely opening their sensitive applications to the possibility of web access.

Rick also has expertise in all aspects of the Notes/Domino security model, and has authored and co-authored a number of articles on the subject that were published as a series in the Lotus Notes and Domino Advisor magazine.

To discuss your particular design, implementation, or consulting needs, simply send an email to rtd@notesguy.com, or call Rick on his mobile phone at 818-481-5184, and he'll be glad to help you.
